It has a 220-degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it the best navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to replenish its battery in mid-clean.
It is very quick and does a great job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in a single pass. The suction motor's 8,000pa is quick at picking up dirt, crumbs and pet hair. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes into contact with rugs, and the dual side brushes help draw out dirt from corners.
The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, is not as good. The rotating mop spins at a high rate and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scraping away dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arms extend out a bit more than other robots, which is helpful for getting into tight corners and on baseboards. The front arms can be employed to clean up larger debris, like broken toys and fallen books.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't create more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's simple to install and works well, but this is something that you'll need to be aware of when you purchase this vacuum solely for the purpose of mopping.

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. However, it does have some unique features which make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its huge dock that doubles as a charging base and the housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a clean sink and the 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically emptys.
The base also has a variety of control buttons that allow you to start cleaning or recall the robot or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Press two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a great feature for parents who are concerned about their children messing around with the vacuum.
Like other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni could occasionally become so entangled with obstacles, like an electrical cord dangling across a rug--that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you remove it manually. Although this is not a common occurrence but it was a very frustrating experience when it did happen particularly since the X1 Omni doesn't come with an "stuck" status alert in its app.
Another potential downside is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during the cleaning process. You'll need to manually swap between the two, which isn't too bad apart from the fact that the mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between use which could lead to mildew or mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a major departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot, and a welcome sight in a space which is dominated by clunky boxy models.
