The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He evaluates and tests cleaning equipment. His focus is on mopping and robot vacuum combinations. Multitaskers are an excellent choice for those who want to get rid of mopping off their list of tasks. They have impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance capabilities, and they can even wash and refill their own mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
This is the model to pick if you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than other models on this list making it easier to maneuver into tight corners and underneath furniture. It has a 220-degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it the best navigation and object avoidance that I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery in mid-clean.
It's fast and does an excellent job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways with just one motion. Its 8,000pa motor is able to pick up dirt as well as pet hair and even droppings with ease. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.
The mopping performance, though still impressive, isn't as effective. The rotating mop spins fast and makes use of 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a little more than other robots. This is useful when you're trying to get into difficult corners or along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to clean larger objects, such as broken toys or books.
Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've ever tried. It doesn't create as loud of a sound while vacuuming or mopping and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to install and works well. However, if you are buying this vacuum solely for mopping, you will need to be aware of this.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a wide range of features.
The device has a powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the house and identify furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean efficiently and intelligently. This leads to a thorough, consistent clean that's also fairly fast.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad is capable of reaching many surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other difficult to reach areas. They also have a flexible side brush that can extend to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. Additionally, the mop pads can be cleaned and dried to avoid build-up and lessen the odors.
Another noteworthy feature is the customizable options available via apps. The Q Revo lets you adjust the suction strength and select an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also set the number of passes it should make, which will affect how quickly the device can move through your home. You can even choose to turn off the side brush to prevent damaging carpets and rugs.
The device comes with a expensive price tag, but it has a variety of innovative features. It is important to keep in mind that the device is subject to recurring expenses in the form mopping supplies as well as regular maintenance. For example the brushroll should be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter is to be cleaned every 150 hours, and the mop pads must be replaced every one to three month.
This robotic vacuum cleaner has an excellent rating on Amazon and includes a broad range of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also has an power button that doubles as the 'Clean button' as well as a 'Home button to send it home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the dustbin, refills its water tank and washes and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a professional with a lot of work or just want a cleaner home without spending much time doing chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a excellent choice. Its incredibly fast performance, sophisticated navigation and long battery life make it easy to maintain a clean house with minimal effort.
The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, which means it can handle both vacuuming and mopping. The robot comes with two modules: a combined dry bin and water reservoir and a separate mopping module with microfiber pads that snap into and out of position. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming however it does mean that you don't need to worry about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.

Our test subjects found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its best feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app also offers the option of setting "No-Go zones" and virtual barriers, which can help to shield certain areas of your house from being swept with mop.
The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at collecting hair of pets. It was able capture a large amount of hair that our cats shed, and even got into the nooks and crevices of our stairs while other robots struggled. The noise levels were low and there were lovely jingles that signal that it was starting and finishing its work.
The app was too basic and you had to switch the modules every time you switched between vacuuming and mops. The app can't store multiple maps. This could be a problem if your home has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want a smart robot that can perform both mopping and vacuuming.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. However, it does have some unique features which make it worth looking into. robot vacuum cleaners Omni's most appealing feature is its massive dock which doubles as a charging base and housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning and a 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically eliminates.
The base also has a variety of buttons to control the system. These allow you to start a cleaning task and then recall the robot or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to turn off a child lock that is a great option for parents concerned about kids tinkering with the vacuum.
The Omni Omni, like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path. It will steer clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more accurate in recognising objects.
This can cause the X1 to get stuck if it is entangled in a blockage like a power cable draped over a rug. It won't function until you remove it manually. Although this is not a common occurrence however, it was a gruelling experience when it happened and especially because the X1 Omni doesn't have an "stuck" status alert in its app.
Another possible issue is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during the cleaning process. You'll need to manually switch between the two, which isn't too bad aside from the fact that the mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between uses, which can lead to mildew or mold.
On the bright side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad. It's a huge contrast to the basic black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. It's also an excellent choice for a market dominated by clunky boxy units.
